Today is Friday, and as per usual, I have my favorite things for you!
1. The Hunger Games. Guys, I almost cried when I called the library and they told me that they still didn't have the second book. It's now a week overdue. I'm tempted to go all Hunger Games on that person and hunt them down and give them some poisonous berries so that I can have that book.
2. Beaches. The colder it gets here in Germany, the more I realize I'm happy that a) faces don't really fall off when it's cold and b) I'm not a dude, because those things (we all know what I'm talkin' bout) would freeze and fall off (no, that's not scientifically proven, just a guess). I also realize that I was made for sunshine and beaches. Oh, Dominican Republic... Can I come visit you again??
3. Anne. You know, the fiery redhead from Green Gables? I love that girl. Those books are fabulous. I feel like I would also be the type of person who would accidentally sell my neighbor's cow. Can you tell I've been reading a lot? Ooh, and in the movies - when Anne and Gilbert finally kiss! I haven't seen that movie in years, but I still remember the kiss!
4. Monkeys. I read Jane Goodall's book about living among chimps when I was like, 10. I had a slight obsession with chimps and monkeys, but can you blame me? They're freakin' cute. I used to be obsessed with the Aeropostale monkey. I would draw that thing everywhere. Ooh, the Paul Frank monkey is super cute, too.
5. Giveaways! Guys, I love a good giveaway, and Ashley has so graciously offered to host one for you people!
hope.
verb: to look forward to with desire and reasonable confidence.
i decided that hope was going to be my motto for the year 2012.
to have hope in all things.
to keep this as a reminder, i decided to get a piece of jewelry that exemplifies this.
i've already given away a hope necklace on my blog, but i wanted to share the wealth with you lovely readers of Every Day Is A New Adventure.
hope is lookin good on you.

My little growing human inside me gives me hope that this world isn't completely hopeless! How can it be when little bundles of pure love and joy are coming every day? ;) It's the optimist in me I guess ;)
Anne of Green gables!! BEST.EVER. Totally making me want to get out my videos and watch them and then read the book......... love so much!
Hope, hoping for so many things it seems!
aww man, you've still not got the second book!!!??? garrrghhhhhh
My friend has an obcession with Anne. Her dream came true when she got to play her part in a play. I was in it too. I was the Sunday school teacher (not in the movies) and Jane (one of Anne's schoolmates).
Thanks for your sweet comment on my happy post. I really appreciate it. I still love pencil but these past few days since I posted that I keep forgetting to use one! You have a great weekend too. <3

I need to read The Hunger Games. I have the e-book, but just haven't read it yet. I used to read SO much and now I feel like I can't concentrate, wonder why? Haha.
everything happy in my life gives me hope. My family, my friends, the gospel. They let me know everything is going to be ok, today and in the future. When you focus on the good things everything else seems better.
my cute little husband gives me hope that there is still good in the world. he is so selfless and caring & always puts me first. i wish more men were like him.
I love the books you are reading..or waiting to read.
I went to a mother daughter retreat 2 yrs ago ..and the mothers had to give their daughter a one word gift..i gave her hope.
What gives me hope is that every time I have to face something that is scary, hard or heartbreaking, I know that the world won't end. There have been many times where I've thought, "Geez, how much can one person handle?" but every single time, I come out the other end relatively unscathed and full of more life lessons. Just my two cents. :)
love love love ashley!! and thanks for having the giveaway!
I love Anne of Green Gables!! It's been such long time since I read/watched her. I was out last night and said those exact words, "my face is about to fall off." Thankfully it didn't, but girl, it felt like it was about too!
My beliefs bring me hope..without hope and faith I would live in a very dark world. Love this necklace :) glad your sharing it again

Eeep! I love this list! YOU had me at Hunger Games. AND then you had me AGAIN with Anne of Avonlea/Green Gables/wherever...I love Anne anywhere she is, but especially with Gilbert. ;)
Happy Weekend!!!
That's a beautiful photo of you two! It's gorgeous! Congratulations on a year and a half... next month it's my two year anniversary - I have no idea where the time ran off to.
1. I REALLY need to read this.
2. Yeah, the cold is a little ridiculous. I'm over it.
3. I heart Anne. I heart her hard. So much that I actually went to Prince Edward's Island for vacation once. I'm a total nerd.
Bon weekend! Bundle up! :-)
Random acts of kindness give me hope
How did I miss this post yesterday?!
I love that wedding picture!
When you started talking about Anne of Green Gables and I saw the picture of Anne and Gilbert I almost cried! Ok...not really, but I did get really excited because I. LOVE. ANNE. Except when she was being stubborn and wouldn't admit she loved Gilbert...that made me want to slap her pretty little face.
My parents' love and support, especially calling them every week. Haha.
I love Anne of Green Gables! She's my absolute favourite character. Plus I always had a crush on Gilbert ;)
To me hope is never giving up on something.
I just finished the first Hunger Games book this weekend! I was SO GLAD I had the second book already on hand to start! Can't believe you haven't tracked one down yet! ;)
