Hi there! I'm so glad you decided to stop by for a visit. I'm Alyx, and here's what you should know:

1. I am married to that stud up there and we've got two little ones. They're all pretty amazing humans, and even though I have days where I want to rip my hair out, I love 'em. Lots.

2. I love photography almost as much as I love my family. You can see my work here. I am based in the San Francisco Bay Area, but I love to travel! See if I'm coming near you anytime soon!

3. I'm kind of a nerd. I love languages, grammar, and writing. I'm fluent in German and have spent a good portion of my life living abroad.

4. I love to travel! Although we have not done much traveling since starting our family a few years ago, I have been to 14 countries and am working on hitting all the states in the US.

5. I get pretty invested in whatever I'm reading, so if you ever see me with a book in hand, it's best to walk on by without interrupting my dream world.

6. I love all things exercise, fitness, and outdoorsy. If you love those things, too, we can totally geek out!

7. I also love makeup! It's a recent obsession, and it started when I began selling LipSense about six months ago. It's been so fun to learn and experiment.

Hey! You're a fulbright scholar in Germany? I was thinking about applying for this upcoming year for Turkey! I would love to talk to you more about it :)

I was totally singing the baller song last night while we were leaving the restaurant. A couple looked at me weird when I sang "and if I had a girlfriend I would call her".

Hey Alyx--I came over from A Modern Grace when I saw you comment about living in Germany. We also lived in a Germany for a short stint and traveled extensively in Germany and to 10 other countries besides while we were there. Nice to "meet" you :-)

Aaa, sorry to comment again, but I just saw that you have actually been to Marburg and that's where we lived! I actually taught a medical English class at the university there. Too exciting since most people do not know Marburg!
