WIWW & That One Time I Got Kicked out of a Soccer Game

Hiiiii!!!!!

I'm sporting the clown lips again - I think I'm getting used to them [even starting to like them, but don't tell].

So I used to play soccer a long, long time ago. I was pretty awful at it, and thought I'd tell you all a story that proves it.

I almost always played defense – I was awful at dribbling (I’m seriously lacking in the coordination department – always have been), and defender was the easiest place for the coach to put me. My team was pretty good, so I almost never saw the ball.

In one particular game, I decided that, since the ball was on the other side of the field, it would be a good idea to practice my gymnastics (unfortunately I wasn’t any good at that sport, either). I started doing cartwheels around the goal box. All of a sudden, I heard whistles being blown and my name being shouted from the sidelines. “ALYX! WHAT ARE YOU DOING? GET OFF THE FIELD, [Insert teammate’s name here] IS GOING IN FOR YOU!”

Oops. I guess doing gymnastics in the middle of a soccer game is frowned upon.

Stay tuned for part 2: The Time I Scored a Goal for the Other Team

Have you guys ever had an experience like that? Or am I the only one who sucked at sports and did ridiculous things?

Oh I hear you! Sports are definitely not my thing either. I feel that I was more made to spectate ;)

haha I think I only did gymnastics on the field after scoring goals--I normally played left or center mid.

I was also a referee and DID card some players off the field a few times. haha

Dude. You scored a goal for the other team?! LULZ!

I was never a big soccer gal. I was always into softball and basketball. ALWAYS.

I was also always the girl on the sports who fouled the most. Not purposely so, but I always seemed to catch a foul or two in a respective game. Our team was good though, so we all did it at one time or another.

However, I did manage to make an impossible shot with NO glasses because some girl fouled me during that same game and broke them. EPIC WIN!

Sometimes I forget that people can see me, and I do stuff like that. Or do the tombstone whistle while sitting in a cubicle. I feel ya.

Once, I was playing softball and was out in right field (right? is that the one behind first base? maybe it's left...) and I started dancing. The ball never came to me anyway. But then I looked up and everyone was gone. The inning was changing and I was the only one still in the field. And I was dancing.

Hahaha I used to play field hockey, and then when I was running I pretended I was flying, with long stretched steps. One day somebody who was watching by the side told me I was always ran dreamy/galloping. Up until then I always thought nobody had noticed whaha.

hahahaha that reminds me of those people on my softball team in 3rd grade that would sit in the outfield and pick flowers

haha! i hope you were really young when this happened...but all i can picture is a 16 year old alyx cartwheeling around the soccer field. :)

btw, i love the high wasted jeans. they somehow, amazingly, make you look even taller! the red lip is great too! i know it takes some getting used to - i use a red lip stain and i felt like a clown at first too. trust me, you look a million trillion times better than any clown i've ever seen. in a good, non-clowny way that is.

I was terrible at sports. I hated when it came time for sports in PE because I almost always made a fool of myself.

You look awesome! You're rocking those jeans and the red lips for sure.

That's a hilarious story. I played soccer too but I was forward. I found defense hard, to be honest. hahah

You ROCK that lipstick, girl!

And...HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I suck at sports, so I never joined a team therefore I have no stories like that. :) Yours is hilarious, though!

I'm loving those trouser pants! :) I played soccer when I was little... My mom tells stories of watching butterflies and holding hands with my little friend, skipping across the field. But then soccer ended after elementary where I grew up. Boo.

I can't possibly understand why the coach would have wanted to take you out! Surely your cartwheels would have been a great distraction technique for the other team :)
Love the jeans!
