Favorite Things Friday

Howdy y'all! Now you know how to speak like you're from the south!

First of all, I just wanted to thank all of you who went here and voted for my photo! You guys are the bestest (yeah, I just made that a word). I don't know when the contest ends, so if you feel inclined to vote and you haven't already... go ahead!

Now to the good stuff - My Favorite Things!

1. Getting apples with their leaves still attached! I know this one is kind of weird, but I pulled an apple out of the box today that had its leaf still, and it made me smile. It's the little things, people!

2. Good Photography. There are so many "Faux-tographers" out there that I've learned to really appreciate a good photo. PS: check out this site. It's hilarious. You will not be sorry.

3. Books! I love books, and I LOVE to read! Here's my reading list since August:

4. Skype. As much as I wish I could see/talk to my family face to face, I have to just say how much I love Skype. It's great. And it allows my friends to take weird pictures like this (yes that is my husband using a pot lid as a hat):

5. Weekends. Because I like being a lazy bum, sleeping in until 1 p.m., and spending the day doing absolutely nothing. WHO'S WITH ME!??!

PS: There is still time to enter my giveaway

YES to being a bum!!! Today, I slept until 11:30 (I have Fridays off) and I'm still in my pjs! Probably not going to make it out of them today. :)

Sorry...I got distracted on that photography website. lol. You always provide me with entertainment!
Don't you love how anyone with a semi-nice camera thinks they're professional photographer?!

Hi! I'm visiting from 20sb. This is a fun list! I'm impressed you're reading so many books at the same time. "Wicked" is on my I-should-read-that list. Did you like it?

oh gosh, i've ALWAYS wanted to get an apple with a leaf on it. no idea why. i think it's because it reminds me of all the hard work that goes in to just picking the apple. and that it really did come from a tree, ha

That website is hilarious and I'm totally with you on the lazy bum weekend stuff, although it doesn't happen as often as I'd like because of school. :)

I am going to start in brave new world as well! I just borrowed it from a friend, but am not allowing myself to start before I finish my deadlines first (too much distraction otherwise). About the paintings. Several T-shirts will be availabe for sale online soon. I am not selling my paintings at the moment, but if you are really interested I am open to the idea of it and you can always shoot me an e-mail. Just that you know ;)

You read more than one book at a time? How do you not get everything all mixed up?

Okay...I was cracking up at that photography site and then I freaked out a little because even those bad pictures were better than the ones I take! ;o)
