Sunday Confessions Link Up

Yo, yo, YO!!!

What's crack'a'lackin? Okay, I'll stop trying to be cool, because it's obviously not working for me.

It is Sunday. Duh. So... just grab a button and spill your guts, mmkay?

1. My "business casual" wardrobe is close to non-existent. So... I went ahead and bought a few basics yesterday. Why is this a confession, you ask? Because I feel guilty anytime I buy new clothing. It's bad. Everything I bought (except the slacks) was on sale, though, so that makes it better. Looking for a new pair of inexpensive slacks for your freakishly long legs? Check Alloy. They have these puppies in like, 50 different colors & patterns.
2. I'm soooo ready to move into our house. I love my in-laws so very much, and am beyond grateful for everything they have done for us, but after more than a year of not really having a place with complete privacy (even in Germany we lived in the same home as our landlord), I'm ready to get some quality, genuine alone time with Husband.
3. I had spinach in my smoothie today. You may be thinking, Wow, Alyx... you're a little behind. Good for you. Not. Well... I don't blame you. I jumped on that bandwagon a little late, but it's delicious.

4. I want guns. As in more than one. Don't hate - a girl's gotta protect herself when the world collapses.

5. I may be watching reruns of Doomsday Preppers, and that may or may not have been what made me think of guns. This show is insane. Have you guys seen it?

So now that you think I'm crazy... link on up!

Business casual is such a hard code to dress for. Our office is VERY relaxed, so I never know what to wear. haha. Cute pants!

I want a pink handgun!

Ahh yay on your new job!
So so crazy, we don't have guns at all over here?!

I still haven't gotten the courage to try spinach in my smoothies. I think it's the color that's scaring me off. I've never wanted a gun, but I started watching The Walking Dead and now I think it might be a good idea to get one.

1. I think that was my favorite greeting so far.
2. Doomsday Preppers is how I will be spending my Sunday afternoon now, thank you.

Business casual pants were hard for me. They just made me feel way too formal. My recent work attire is just taking my more conservative sundresses and pairing them with work heels and cardigans. I barely wear pants as it is so wearing them at work made me miserable. Lol.

I think of myself as one lucky person because i don't have to dress up to work. t-shirt and jeans are the dress code. haha

Haha. Hubby LOVES Doomsday Preppers. Those people are straight up crazy, but some of them have some legit plans going on.

I saw one episode of Doomsday preppers ever. It was a bunch of crazies, but definitely a neat show. I don't watch much TV so I haven't seen it since!

Those are nice dress-pants! I hate shopping for "work clothing" - I don't like it as much as my casual-wear. I'm lucky I found a workplace where I can wear most of my casual-wear to work :P

Wow, I have seen a trailer for "Doomsday preppers" and that's so cray that I think I need to watch it too.
And yeah, Americans and guns. Haha.
I never feel bad about buying clothes. I guess that's bad.
Have a great Sunday!

Hahaha! Haven't seen Doomsday Preppers, because our crappy cable package doesn't include NatGeo, but we watch Survival Dan on youtube... and then we talk about how we're planning on living in a buried house in the middle of nowhere with our own power and food supplies.

And even more funny... we are totally down with guns, and want some. But first, we're going to learn some Archery. You know, in case the whole manufacturing industry collapses and we have to go old school again ;-). Romantic date night at the Archery range!

Seriously, you're the best twin ever. It amazes me every time we find yet another set of things we have in common. Let's buy land next to each other to set up our survival homesteads. We can gather eggs and homeschool the kids together.

That Doomsday Preppers show makes me want to hoard food and water and also buy weapons (not only guns). Television is a dangerous thing

I seriously believe that every married couple needs that quality alone time. Family is awesome, but it's also awesome when it's just you two in your apartment. Also, I've never heard of Doomsday Preppers, but just looking at that poster made me laugh :)

Happy Sunday!

That smoothie looked amazing! Alone time is a must!!!

There's nothing wrong with having a gun, in some parts of our country by the time law enforcement arrives a burglar could have killed someone!

Also, those pants look like they'll be quite flattering :)

I have freakishly long legs too!! Where did you get the slacks, I need to jump on that band wagon. Speaking of wagons, I'm way behind on stuff too-like spinach and doomsday.

You're not alone my friend :)

that show sounds crazy! I think I need to see it... my MIL could probably be on it. She has the world's largest food storage (especially when you consider that there's only two of them) and she collects things like solar ovens, generators, etc.

That show looks hilarious!!! Just the picture makes me laugh! I guess there's nothing wrong with being prepared and self-sufficient, but it looks like these people take it to the extreme!

Congrats on the new job! You're going to look super cute in your office clothes!

I'm the same re clothes so have now been given a clothing budget that I get at the end of each school term to go guilt free shopping in the holidays- best thing ever, you should try it. Guns? This is one thing that freaks me out about America. I like that, in order to kill me, someone will have to get within a meter of me to kill me with a knife. I just hope like crazy that I can run fast enough to never be within a meter of an attacker :P ha ha

So this is out there a little... But hubs and I watched The Walking Dead... which is like a whole doomsday thing in case you haven't seen it... and for real, I started working on my food storage and thinking about stocking up on ammo and what not... that stuff really isn't funny! Gotta be prepared... ;)
