Sunday Confessions Link Up

Hello, hello, HELLO! And Happy Sunday!

Wow, I cannot even describe how nice it is to be back in America where the temperature is higher than 55 degrees. Actually, it's in the 90s, which is glorious!

Anyway. You know the drill - grab a button, write some confessions, and link them up!
1. I have not really had the desire to blog the past few days. Being able to spend time with family has been wonderful, and it's thrown blogging into the back seat. It also helps that the weather is perfect.

2. I haven't even been back in the states for a week, and I already miss Europe. Not so much the weather, or the apartment, or the living situation, but I miss other things! I miss speaking German, eating schnitzel, having time to blog, etc.etc.

3. I suck at time management. How do you people do it!? How do you work and spend time with family and blog?? I really need to figure it out.

4. I actually like sewing. Umm... this is coming from a girl who once attempted sewing a shirt only to have the arms fall off as soon as I attempted putting the shirt on. But... I've already made a skirt, a baby blanket, and a throw pillow. Better watch out - I could become a crafty blog! Ha. Yeah, that will never happen.

5. I hate having a smart phone again. Honestly, I liked it better when I was in Germany and had a POS phone that could only call and text. I am not a fan of being constantly connected everywhere I go - it's just another thing to distract me and keep me from enjoying life.

So. Go ahead and link up those confessions!
PS: Have you entered the giveaway yet?

I totally get what you mean about the iphone. I have a serious love/hate relationship with me.

It's always okay to take a break from blogging for a bit - don't think we'll hate you if you take a couple days off every now and then :)
And I totally agree about the phone. I love my iPhone, but only because I've gotten used to it. In the beginning I felt the same way and took a while to adjust to it. But you're right, it's such a distraction.

That is definitely my love/hate relationship with my blackberry. I hate it but I do feel the need to feel connected for work (eh).

hey if you don't want your smartphone I will trade you for my oldschool phone that can only call and text!

no need to write a confessions post - I'll just steel yours (minus the nice weather and missing my life in Europe... and the sewing part). Not having time to blog sucks and then not wanting to blog sucks even more - it's like "why did I try so hard for people to 'like' me and GFC follow me just to throw in the towel?' - I go back and forth weekly. I used to turn up my freckled nose at people who were constantly on their iPhones until I got one and turned into 'annoying phone girl'. I make iPhone goals like: you can't check your cell for 1 whole hour no matter how many times it dings... I usually fail but at least I'm trying.

I actually don't have a smart phone for that reason! I hate being connected to the internet everywhere I go! If people want to get in touch with me they should call me! There is nothing wrong with that.

I'm sorry you're missing Germany! Are you back in the states for good?

I would love to learn how to knit and sew. But I think I am just not talented at all.
I have a smartphone but it doesn't work here in America outside the house. But I have to say that I don't miss it at all.

Welcome back! I'm sorry you miss Germany :( And believe me, time management is really hard to figure out, I still haven't mastered it hahahaha and I'm super excited for you and your sewing skills ;) When I get a sewing machine, you'll have to show me the ways!! I have some days that I keep my phone on silent just so I don't get bothered by it ;)

Time management is tough. I use apps like Evernote to jot ideas I get during the day for my personal blog. That way when I have time to write, I haven't forgotten what about.

Hope you have a fun trip!

I just added my post although it's not a confession list. It's more of a PMSing rant. Hope you don't mind, haha.

Time management is definitely critical! I use a planner and write when my homework assignments are due, all appointments, blog posts, etc.
I love not having a smart phone! I have a POS phone--it gets internet, but it's REALLY slow. I like the fact that my phone bill is under $50 a month!

i havent had the desire to blog much lately, either. im hoping it comes back to me this week though... i am going to try my hardest... but i got nothing planned.

can you explain what schnitzel is? i have heard of it... i just dont know what it is. except delicious. apparently.

i suck at time management, too. which probably has to do with the lack of desire for blogging lately. it is known to cause arguments with the hubs. seriously.

i wish i knew how to sew. you just earned major cool points with me.

Don't feel bad about putting blogging to the backseat! Enjoy seeing your family again :-)

Sometimes I'm grateful I don't have a smart phone because I think I would have the same issue! Hopefully you figure out how to balance everything, I still find it hard sometimes!

Love/hate my iPhone!...mostly hate! It seems to me the "better" connected we all are with technology, the more disconnected we become with those right in front of us!

I absolutely love scheduling. I have a color coded calendar that is a work of ART hahaha :P Maybe I should do a how-to blog post on organizing your life.

I stick to a schedule Monday - Friday. I'm a huge nerd I know, but it works for me. And that schedule comes with a list, and that makes me happy because I LOVE lists.

I don't have a smart phone, but that's sort of exactly why I don't yet. I can't wait to see your sewing projects!

Unknown said...

SO I'm thinking you need to post about your sewing projects and link them up at Fancy This Fridays... one post won't turn you into a craft blog. ;)

I love sewing too. Another reason why we should live close to eachother. We could be sewing pals. And sip wine. And talk about our travels. And then get sad that we aren't travelling. And wonder when we turned into old ladies who sew and drink wine.

You are AWESOME. I love when a post makes me laugh out loud :D I really suck at time management too. Like... so bad my house has to start to smell before I even think about cleaning, and even then, I have to force myself. Gross, huh? Probably more than you needed to know. Oh well. I definitely need to mark it on my calendar to participate in this link up... but I kinda suck at using calendars, sooo... maybe a mental note? :) Really though, I'm doing this. I don't know why I haven't since my blog is all about confessions... I suck. Don't hate me :/ Annnd I'm rambling. Stopping.... now!

Oh P.S. I friggin' LOVE your blog design.
