Junk in the Trunk

... of my car. And my house. I swear, the longer I live in a place, the more things pile up and the more junk I accumulate (is anyone else like this? Bueller.... Bueller...)

(Oooh.... This is a sponsored post, by the way. Everything in here is my opinion, blah, blah... you know, the good stuff)

Anyway. You wanna know the number one item of "junk" that I have somehow managed to acquire plenty of? CDs. I have hundreds of CDs just laying around the house. Sometimes I swear I hear them when everything else is quiet. They're whispering, "Play me, Alyx. Listen to my horrible mid-90's songs. You know you want to shake it to 'The Thong Song.' Or 'Wannabe' - that's a good one, too!"

Do I ever listen to them? No. Instead, I just try to find some little nook or cranny to shove them into. Basically... my house is full of nooks and crannies, and those nooks and crannies are filled with old CDs that will probably never again see the light of day.

You know what I should be doing with these poor, abandoned discs, though? Giving them a new home. And because I like money (who doesn't?!), I feel like I should get some kind of reward for taking these CDs out of their misery.

Enter Music Magpie. You guys, this site is brilliant!! Not only can I sell those poor, poor CDs... but I can sell my husband's old games (you know, the ones he just HAD to have, but then played once or twice?) and DVDs. The best part? It's free. Free money, people!! It's like money is growing on a CD/DVD/game tree of junk that's made your home its growing space.

I kid you not - they will even offer you money for this gem:

It's okay, I danced, too.

Getting Back in the Groove

Hi.
Remember me? I used to blog every day. Then I got pregnant. Then I had a baby. Now you're lucky to hear from me more than once or twice a week.

I'm working on it. I'm not trying to be a witch with a capital B if I don't respond to your comments. Actually, I just went through and wiped my inbox. I just looked at the little thing up in the corner that said, "1 out of 495" and I freaked. I deleted almost EVERYTHING. So don't be hurt or offended, please. I just couldn't take the heat.

This all brings me to my next point. I am going to try to get back into the whole blogging groove. Elsie and I have (more or less) figured out a schedule, and I figured out that I really miss blogging. I needed that time away to figure out this new little human who hangs out with me all day. I needed the time to sort out my own emotions (still a work in progress - these hormones suck). Unfortunately, that did not leave much time (or motivation) to respond to emails.

Starting this week or next, though, I want to be better about blogging. Elsie and Mike will ALWAYS be my number one priority, but I'd like to give this blog more attention. I'd like to network a little bit more and I'd like to get to know YOU better.

So... The first ten people to comment on this post with the link to one blog that may be a little less well known that you think I'd enjoy will get a little spot on my sidebar fo' free. Just make sure you're not a "no-reply blogger" so that I can email you. Please and thanks.

It's always Funny when Someone gets Hurt. Fill-in-the-blank.

Oh, wait... that's not how the saying goes.

It is in hockey, though. And you know what?! I think I just might become a hockey fan, because it's pretty hardcore when they start to slam each other against the glass and put each other in headlocks.

A week and a half ago, we went on a date night to a hockey game. Even though our team lost, we had a great time. I think this hockey date night might become a regular activity in the Garner household.

Note: These pictures are not the greatest. Sorry!
************************************************************************************
In other news... I have someone I want to introduce you to. Except... we are going to play a game of fill-in-the-blank for awesome points.

Hey, I’m Madison! _a. name of her blog (100 pts)_ is where I blog about life and all the dorky, silly things I come up with. Sometimes this means I will be a bit overly _b. adjective, find the answer here in the subtitle of her blog (500 pts)_ by starting a project and failing miserably. Other times I’ll share some funny pictures I’ve come across and discuss them. I am a huge _c. find the answer in the last paragraph here (last paragraph first line, movie/book) (1,000 pts)_ fan, a bit of a gamer, a fantasy novel nut, and an anime lover.
If you don't feel like playing for awesome points, you can find Madison at any of the places below:

Don't forget to link up tomorrow for the book club!!! I guess I should probably get to reading the book...

Are YOU One of the Crazy Ones?

Happy Wednesday!

I hope you guys are all having a fabulous week. I know that I'm really looking forward to eating for two tomorrow.... double the turkey and mashed taters (yes, I know you're not actually supposed to eat double when you're pregnant)!!

Anyway. I'm thinking of doing some Black Friday shopping this year. The thing is, though, that when I think of Black Friday shoppers, this vision comes to mind:
And I want to know... is it worth it? Is it worth pushing past crazed, zombie-fied customers who will stop at nothing to get that last DVD on the shelf? Is it worth becoming one of those crazed people? I have never really been into the whole, "Let's get zero sleep and camp out in front of Wal-Mart like a hobo just to save a few bucks" thing, so tell me - are YOU one of the crazies?

In other news... I've been slacking with the awesome points lately, so here's a nice little score update, and a way to win a few more points. :)
First of all, let me give you three facts about this girl:
1. She is awesome. No, really - it's a fact.

2. She is a total animal lover. And I love it - she's really good about picking products that don't test on animals, stuff like that. She's also really good at recommending products if you are a fellow animal lover!

3. She is part of the "dirty hair, don't care" club. And she pretty much single-handedly convinced me to join (all while giving great dry shampoo recommendations). Obviously this is a made-up club, but it's a cool one to be a part of. HA!

Now it's your turn. For 1,000 awesome points, tell me two things about Kym. It can be where she most recently traveled, one of her hobbies, anything. You can find everything you need here, on the home page of her blog.

Five Ways to Use Pregnancy to your Advantage

Happy Monday!

As mentioned yesterday, I am giving away feature ad space for this here blog for the month of January. If you're interested in winning that crap, you can enter here.

Now onto bloggy business. As you [hopefully] have figured out by now, I am growing a creature in mah belly. As you may or may not know, there are many ways to "milk" being pregnant. If you are a noble person who would never even consider using your soon-to-be alien baby to your advantage, you should probably just stop reading.
It's not my fault if you didn't listen to that warning.

5. Expecting Mothers parking spaces. So what if I'm only 12 weeks along? That parking spot is as close as the handicapped one, and I'm feeling mighty lazy.

4. It's okay... I'm eating for two. Yeah, I know that you only really need 300 extra calories a day to accommodate the little rascal, but this is a great excuse to use when you're shoving two quarter pounders and a large fry down your throat.

3. Skittles, tacos, chocolate, mac 'n cheese, and popsicles for breakfasst? Yes, please. Oh, all this stuff is bad for me? It's okay, baby is practically forcing me to eat it. Wow, these pregnancy cravings really getcha.

2. I don't want to go... all of a sudden I'm feeling very nauseous. What? I haven't had morning sickness at all this entire pregnancy? Well, it's made a very sudden appearance, and it will probably last exactly 2.5 hours (that's the exact length of the meeting I'm missing? what a coincidence...).

1. Honey... will you get that for me? I can't move, I'm just so tired, and I just barely got comfortable, and you know how hard that is for me right now. Besides, baby just wants me to sit here and relax while you get me a big ole bowl of mint chocolate chip ice cream. You're the best, babe.
************************************************************************************
And now for your reading pleasure...

Yo, yo, yo - her name is Amanda.
She has a blog that is cooler than a panda.
She is really super crafty
and her blog will surely make you laugh....ty.
She makes cool things and she sells them in a shop,
her blog will make you want to never stop...
reading.
which is awesome because she is also a writer.
she writes poetry and you wouldn't wanna fight her
(in a poetry battle or anything else.... because she's awesome... and now I'll let her speak for herself.)
My name is Amanda, and I'm the chica behind Dragonflight Dreams (both blog and shop). I freelance full-time as a graphic designer here in Austin TX, and pursue screenprinting and blogging in my off-time, if there is such a thing. :) My interests span a pretty wide range, but include: design, photography, screenprinting, cooking, reading, playing piano, movies, game nights with friends, hanging out with my boyfriend and puppy, daydreaming about dragons and flying, learning to sew, fashion (as I see it/like it), and more. Come by and say hi!

But first... you could be the owner of some BRAND NEW AWESOME POINTS (500 to be exact)!!! With the answer to one simple question (you can even choose which question you answer, the answers can be found on her "about" page. If you're feeling especially ambitious, you can answer both for double points):

1. What is Amanda's dog's name?

OR

2. What are two things Amanda loves?

Didn't You Know? They Sell Babies at Home Depot.

Dear Baby,

I saw you in my dream the other night. I'll tell you where, but you have to promise not to laugh at me - I can't help it if my subconscious is insane.

I was walking through Home Depot, and there you were. On the shelf. Next to the hardware. In your carseat/carrier. I just looked right at you. You stared back at me with big blue eyes, and I asked you if you were my baby. You may have been in a really awkward place, baby, but you didn't answer me - babies can't talk, even in silly dreams. So instead of talking, you just kept on staring. I did what any normal person would do - I took you off the shelf.

So, baby... maybe I didn't really see you. Maybe it was someone else's baby and I'm just a crazy baby-napper who steals other people's kids from the shelves at Home Depot.

Love,
Your Crazy Mom (or Baby-Thief... whichever one applies here).
**********************************************************************************
Now I don't have a rap for you today, but I do have a cute picture of a girl and her dog. And an awesome blog. Wait.. that was kind of a rap, wasn't it?! I'm awesome.
Oh hi, I'm Allie! I share my life, thoughts and favorite things over at A Day in A Joyful Life. I'm a newlywed and a doggie mama trying to figure out the delicate balance of married life, work, fitness, and down time. I have a slight addiction to reality TV, particularly the Real Housewives of Anywhere, and I love meeting new people, so stop by and be sure to say hi!

Now it's time for a game of the awesome. If you can answer the following question about Allie, you win 500 awesome points (don't worry, it's an easy question and the answer can be found here).

What is Allie's dog's name?

a. Butch
b. Cassidy
c. Casey
d. The Sunshine Kid
**********************************************************************************
And just have to leave you with some of the husband's talent. Bet you can't guess who's singing the background vocals toward the end there.

PS: Just finished The Brass Verdict by Michael Connelly, and it was so good. Maybe I'll do a book review.

Angels. Awesome Points (an update). Baby Raps.

Happy Monday!

I'm pleased to say that I'm back, whether you like it or not. At least for today - we'll see if I can get my crap in order and get organized enough to be here the rest of the week, too.

Anyway, this month I have been a slacker. I signed up with Rosie to be a blog angel for the month of October, and I'm sad to say that I've been a crummy one. I've been absent in blogland, and (obviously) haven't been as good a partner as I could have been.
CraftboticBlogAngels
It's a good thing it's only the halfway point though, right? I guess this is where I tell you that the blog I've been assigned to belongs to this lovely lady.
I've got plans for the second half of the month, but don't want to ruin them, so I'll leave you with that.

In other news, here's an awesome points update (this time they're in order of most points to least points):
Before I go, I'd like you to meet someone totally awesome. Pay attention... there may be a chance to win awesome points at her expense sometime in the next couple weeks. :)
*********************************************************************************************
Before I let her actually talk about herself... I've written a little rap about our guest.

Yo, yo, yo!
Her name is Mikelle, she doesn't live in a shell.
She isn't a hermit crab, and her wardrobe is anything but drab.
She writes a really cool little blog, and you'll get so wrapped up in it you'll feel like a log.
She'll make you never wanna stop... reading because her blog is tippity top.
She's got a baby in her belly, and someday those diapers will be super smelly.
You can read about her now, and if you leave without checking her out, you smell like a cow!
I'm Mikelle, the husband's name is Matt.  We've got German Shepherd puppy named Bravo, and a baby bump who is due any day now.  After which, we'll be moving to California.  We love life, Dr. Pepper, and The Beatles.  We document our life, and capture most of it behind a lens.

Favorite Things Friday

Happy FRIDAY!!!

FINALLY. This weekend we are headed up to Sioux City to hang out with the in-laws, and I'm pretty stoked about it- it should be a good time. Plus, my Huskers will be playing Wisconsin, which should be a pretty good game. Hopefully.

Anyway. Time for my favorite things this week!

1. Smoothies. Specifically ones from Juice Stop. I'm not sure if Juice Stop is a Nebraska thing, but if it is, I will die if we ever move. They have like, 50 different types of smoothies to choose from, each one more delicious than the last.
2. Having a clean car. I used to work at a car wash, and my car was always spotless, inside and out. As it should have been - I did get free car washes and interior cleans (if I cleaned it myself, so really I just had access to all of our stuff). Now that I don't work there, though, our car got a little... messy. Today we had it washed and vacuumed it out, and it feels amazing. I love having a spotless car.

3. Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers. People. If you ever find yourself in Lincoln, NE, come to Raising Cane's. It's the most amazing fried chicken ever. Of all time. It's a little pricey, but oh, so good.  I really wanted some today, so we caved and went, and it was oh, so satisfying. Hit the spot.
4. Book club! I'm getting so pumped! So far we've had about 35 votes, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower is in first place. If that's not the book you want, don't fret! You can still vote.
Also... I want you all to know that you don't have to sign up anywhere to participate - no one should feel obligated - this is just for fun. I have, however, decided to start an email sign up for those of you who are interested in the occasional email with reminders as far as dates for link ups and google video chats. I will not spam your email, and I will never send out anything that doesn't deal specifically with book club. You don't have to sign up to participate - this is just if you want to.
5. Awesome points! For those of you that don't know, I have this little thing called awesome points. I give them out for random, mostly ridiculous things. Once you have 75,000, you cash them in for an awesome package! It's a surprise, and I won't even know what it is till I start putting it together. It's just a fun way for me to reward my readers for being, well.. awesome! It's better than a giveaway, because you don't have to be lucky to win them. It's up to you how many you get.

That being said... let's give away some awesome points, shall we?

All you have to do is guess which blogger is which. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. This is for 2,000 awesome points. If you get it partially correct, you get partial awesome points. Answers can be found by visiting blogs and looking in the about me section.

Blogger one: This blogger was in a sorority in college. Don't let that fool you, though - she says she's quite the nerd. She loves Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings. She loves music almost as much as her new husband, and though you wouldn't know it from her picture, she loves making ridiculous faces for the camera.

Blogger two: This blogger likes to bite off more than she can chew, which might make it awkward if you ask her a question while her mouth is full. She, like every other blogger, loves Harry Potter (are we sensing a theme here?) and Pokemon. She has a husband, a blog, and a really cute dog (I should be a poet). She loves to get her DIY on and stalk Pinterest for new ideas.

Blogger three: This blogger is a high school Spanish teacher who loves to travel. She just got an iPhone 5 and is also obsessed with Harry Potter. She probably also thinks she is dying at any given time, because she's a self-diagnosed hypochondriac. You may see her pull a ketchup bottle out of her purse.

Blogger four: This blogger can do one mean rendition of the chicken dance, electric slide, or macarena - whatever it is, she can do it, because she loves dancing. She has probably seen a moose (or ten) and maybe a polar bear. Or Russia. From her backyard. Anyway, she plays the sax (I said sax, not sex), and is really good at that, too. She probably loves Harry Potter, even though it doesn't say that in her "about me" section.

So who's who??? Visit their blogs and guess away! If you like what you read, be sure to visit their other social media so that you can stalk them forever.

The Newest, Most Amazing, Best Game Ever. And a Perfect(ish) Morning.

Hiiii!!!

I think I'm back, whether you want me here or not. I gave my computer a stern talking-to, and it decided to put off its imminent death for a few more minutes hours days weeks months hopefully years.

Anyway, I think you all should know something. I slept through church on Sunday. I have an excuse, but I'm not going to bother you all with it. Anyway, I'm a sinner, because it was the most wonderful Sunday this week. Wanna know why? I will freaking show you.
Yeah, food. Delicious food. That's the way to my heart. Right now, anyway.

Now that we're all drooling, I thought it would be really fun to play a game. Now, I can't take all the credit for this here game, because this amazing, ingenious, awesome person thought of it.  So here's the deal. You are playing for 1,000 awesome points. If you don't know what awesome points are, just email me - but know that they are not imaginary or dumb - they are awesome, and they will make you win stuff.

Anyway. I have two people and four quotes below. Try to match each blogger to the two things that she said. If you feel so inclined, you can visit their blogs to try and find the answers (I promise they are freaking right there and will be easy to find). If you get some right, but not all, you can get partial awesome points. In case you didn't know, I'm a math whiz and can totally divide 1,000 by four.

So... are you ready? GO!!!!

Blogger one: Emily from Hope Squared. [She's the one rockin' the awesome tooth fairy costume]
Blogger two: Maria from Peppermints and Pixie Dust.
Now get to guessing!!

Quote one:  "I haven't ever worn heels with shorts, partly because I don't have any cute heels I love, but I've always wanted to."

Quote two: "Music is the best medicine for any mood.  Bad mood.  Sad mood."

Quote three: "All men looked like Don Draper in the 50's/60's right?"

Quote four: "So for now, I'm just trying to discover who I really am and what I love."

ALSO: I'm reading Game of Thrones, and that queen is a friggin witch. And disgusting. I mean, really? Her twin brother? And cruel. Like, what crawled up her butt and died? Poor Bran.

5 Things Bloggers Talk about in Emails. A Vacation to China.

Happy Monday!!

Let's all cross our fingers that this week flies by, okay? Okay.

So here's the deal. I'm horrible at answering emails lately. But occasionally, I'll be okay about it and successfully have a conversation with one of you. I would like to present you all with a list of Things Bloggers Talk about in Emails. Names of bloggers involved in these emails have been withheld, because I don't want them to shoot me in the face when you all tell me how ridiculous we are.

1. Blogging Biker Gangs. Or something like that. It'd actually be a bicycle gang with spandex and geeky helmets and ridiculous shoes (the words "saddle sores" may have been in this conversation as well), but a bike gang is a bike gang, right?
2. Having blog dates via skype. Not just Skype chatting, but taking a laptop to a restaurant while skyping a bloggy friend, and having a dinner date. Totally normal thing to do, right?

3. Reasons to get pregnant. This list is endless and full of absolutely ridiculous things. Apparently there are a lot of silly reasons to reproduce.

4. Books. Obviously. I realize that this isn't exactly ridiculous, but it might be ridiculous how often books just creep into conversations. Which leads me to remind you - we are still accepting book suggestions for October book club!

5. Exotic animals you'd like to pet. Maybe I'm just friends with weirdos (or I'm the weird one, which is more likely), but somehow, email conversations often get turned to exotic animals. Whether it's the ones I'd like to someday ride (ahem - elephant and kangaroo) or someday pet (tiger and koala bear), it's always a good conversation.
Do you email other bloggers? What sorts of crazy things do you talk about?

Maybe you talk about your travels, who you are, where you came from, where you want to go? Well, I don't think it's any secret that I'd like to go to China someday, but I definitely don't have the cash for a spur-of-the-moment vacation as I'm sure is the case with many of us, so I'd like to treat you to an imaginary, all-expenses paid vacation, courtesy of Natasha. Close your eyes and use that imagination!

Hello adventurers! This is Natasha from the Picablocks. Thanks Alyx for having me today!

I'm a graduate-to-be from Malaysia, and I blog blocks - blocks of pictures, blocks of life. Photos are what drove me to establish this blog, and I think they are what keeps me writing.  Though I share mostly about photography on my little blog, today I want to talk about a Chinese festival - the Mid-Autumn Festival.

This festival, also known as the mooncake festival is celebrated by Asian countries. We celebrate it in Autumn, on the 15th of Ba Yue (August). But, like any other Chinese festival, the date of mooncake festival changes every year on the standard calendar. This year it's on the 30th of September.

To this day, how do the Chinese celebrate the day?
{via}
At night children place candles inside specially made craft lanterns and run around the town in parades.
{via}
Mid-autumn festival is a day to spend with family. That night, the family gathers and we eat moon cakes, play with lanterns, and admire the moon. During the mooncake festival, the moon is the roundest and biggest of the whole year. It symbolizes this reunion.
{via}
We eat moon cakes. They are of all sorts of shapes and tastes.
{via}
{via}
There are also huge lantern parades and exhibitions from different Chinese organizations.

The Mooncake festival is a traditional chinese festival that preserves our culture, but the average Chinese people love it because of its warmth. It's that day that families and friends reunite, sit down, and talk about happy things while looking at the moon.

It literally tops my favorite 5 festivals of all time!
************************************************************************************
Have you guys ever been to a traditional festival in another country? I think it's amazing to step back and take a look at all of the different cultures around us.

If you haven't already, you can stop by Natasha's blog to say hello! Don't forget to enter this giveaway - she's generously giving one lucky reader $50!!

Favorite Things Friday

FINALLY. HALLELUJAH!

It's Friday, beaches. Hahaha, sorry guys. You aren't sandy beaches. I love you all. I'm just a little bit too excited for Friday. It's pathetic, really.

Anyway. Moving on like Donkey Kong. Or something like that. Time for my favorite things this week.

1. Food Day. Yep, part of the reason I sound like I'm on crack right now is because I'm wildly anticipating the smorgasbord at work. It's food day, and I'm ready. Be jealous that you don't get any of the crock pot spinach and artichoke dip that I'm making.
2. This commercial. Am I the only one that thinks it's the best thing ever? Because it is.
3. My new shoes! I'd been wanting these shoes for a while, but couldn't justify spending the money. Then I went to Target, and what do you know?! They were on clearance for $7.50! And that's how you win the game of life.
4. My cat's new bed. I woke up this morning, walked into the bathroom, turned on the light, and was greeted by a kitty in the sink. He's found a place to call home.
5. Free money. Too bad I can't win it. But you can - $50 straight to your Paypal account, courtesy of this beautiful lady.

And... a special shout out to my little brother - today is his 19th birthday!!!
Happy Birthday, Ryan! We love you!!
PS - All you ladies in UT, he's tall, dark and handsome! HA!

Things No Mother Should Think... but I Probably (Okay, Definitely) Will. Bunnies Make Everything Better.

HI GUYS!!!!

First off, I just wanted to take a moment to say how thankful I am to live in such a wonderful country, and that my thoughts and prayers go out to those who lost family members and friends eleven years ago.

So... moving on! I'm just going to let the title of this post speak for itself, and let you read about Why I'm Going to be a [Kind of] Awful Mother.

1. Ummm, which kid is mine again? I can see it now, shortly after giving birth, my child will be taken from me and put in that nursery with the glass windows, and all those little alien babies will look the same, leading me to play a game of Where's Waldo... with my kid.
2. You are a disgusting little creature. Yes, I'm saying it - babies are gross. They poop, drink boob milk, and have the uncanny ability to aim their bodily excretions right at your eye. I don't care if it is my baby, your baby, or freakin' Heidi Klum's baby - they're all somewhat disgusting little creatures.

3. Oh, hello little alien. All newborn babies look like aliens. Don't argue, you know it's true, we just don't want to admit that our little mini-me's look like they jumped off the set of Independence Day.

4. Holy balls, just TALK already!! Guys. I'm sure I will love listening to my someday child scream at the top of his or her lungs - I mean, who doesn't love their eardrums being blasted to pieces by high-pitched screams? But really, I'm sure there will be at least one point where I will look at my baby, get down on my knees, and beg it to talk because I "just can't take it anymore!"

5. Fine. Run around the front yard naked - I don't feel like running after you right now. Yeah, I'll be that mom. The one who has a stripper baby, the one who watches her kid run out the front door while waving a diaper over it's head while yelling, "FREEDOM!!" Only, it will be in a cute little baby voice, so it'll sound more like, "FWEEDUN!" So William Wallace.
This is probably why I don't have a child. The dude (I'm not having girls - I can feel it in my bones) would be scarred for life. Poor kid.

In other news... I know someone who's a really awesome mother, and has probably never thought any of those things about her child. Keep in mind, though, that her child isn't your typical kid. :)

Hi everyone, it's Samara from over at The Secret Life of Samara.
I have a confession to make... and it's not that I just ate a huge bowl of chocolate mousse. Cos I'm pretty excited about that. No, my confession is that I get really nervous about writing these posts. I'm never sure about what people want to read. So to save you the hassle of having to skim read, I'll just write all the interesting stuff about me in bold letters. Here goes... I live in Australia and I am married to a husband who is 6"8 (and I'm about the height of an oompa loompa). I stood on a stool to kiss him at our wedding. I don't have a pet kangaroo but I do have a rabbit called Nibbles. Alyx here - when I said she had a kid, I was obviously referring to Nibbles.
I suck at cooking but am fairly good at crafts. I refurbished our kitchen table, which I am super proud of. I love to laugh so every Saturday I post funny stuff... and Alyx always comments saying it's funny, so it must be, yeah?
Come on over and say hi, I would love to meet you.
************************************************************************************
Yeah, go say hi! She really does always post hilarious stuff on Saturdays, it always gives me a good laugh.

So. Happy Tuesday, and feel free to leave some funny thoughts you've had about babies in the comments.

Random Ramblings

Hi friends!!

This post is just going to be a whole bunch of random.

1. I can't think of anything clever to write.

2. I'm so excited for Husker football that I just might go crazy waiting till Saturday to see them play.

3. I think babies are cute, and sometimes think I want one, but then I decide I'm not ready.

4. I really want chinese food.

5. These blogs are awesome and you should check them out.

I'm Lesley, a 27-yr-old creativity addict. I choose to think about crafting and creating all day long since I'm not all too happy with my job. I'm trained as a high school teacher but because there's no work here and because I don't think it's what I want to do I'm kind of lost in the area of my career. My blog is all about finding a happy, healthy balance in life. I share recipes, marriage insights and quite a few pictures of my dog. I'm a big fan of all things relating to health, but I get particularly excited when new studies come out about the benefits of dark chocolate. I love discovering new blogs, so come say "hi!"

Hi friends! My name is Sierra and I blog over at

Oh, Just Living the Dream . I am a turn-off-the-alarm-7-times person in the morning, a 4th Grade teacher by day, and an avid movie lover by night. I love to travel the world and teach! So far I have been to Kenya, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Fiji and Hawaii with many more travels on the way! I blog about the inner workings of life--love, heartbreak, God, teaching, family, traveling, and just life in general! Come stop by! There is never a dull day. Ever.  A lot of laughs and a lot of fun are had! Plus, I'm super funny....kind of..

I'm Rima and I'm a late 20-something (eek) girl from SoCali. I'm a full time Registered Nurse who dreams one day to have her own coffee shop/bakery. Either that or just travel the world. You can catch me either saving patients's lives or flipping through cook books in the kitchen on what to bake/make. Bolu By Rima is about my day-to-day likes/rants, my passion about saving lives and feeding the belly. Oh with the occasional glimpse of my love, Rob aka the Pillow and my furry son, Chimichanga.

Cutesy Bootsie is where I blog about what I love to wear, craft, my blessings and challenges, as well as my latest obsessions. Originally from the great state of Minnesota (go Vikings!), I now call sunny South Florida home.  Truly, I can't imagine living in cold or driving on ice and snow ever again. I am a middle school teacher by day so, clearly, I need an outlet and blogging has become that for me.

Welcome to Discovery Street!  A blog documenting my journey of discovering how to be a wife, home-owner, DIY-er, soon to be parent and more.  I'm in love with thrifting, taking pictures of food and my dog Augustus, travel, really good coffee, and social media.  Blogging has been a hobby for years, but some day I hope to make it my job!
