If It's Still in Your Mind, it's Worth Taking the Risk.

Heeeeey guys!

Kelly had that quote up there (from Paulo Coelho) on her blog the other day, and that puppy just about smacked me in the face.

There's something you should know about me - I am the type of person who wants a lot of things for myself. I'm not talking about the latest clothes or shoes, here - I'm talking achievements. I'm also the type of person who will not stop until I accomplish those things, or until I've gotten where I want to be. If I want something, I will work until I get it. If I want to do something, I will do it. If I want to accomplish something, I will accomplish it.

Lately, though, I've been a little apprehensive. I've thought a lot about certain things, but have decided for myself that I'm not ready, that it's not worth the risk.

Excuse my French here, ladies (and gents), but that attitude is a load of freakin' bull crap. Why do we think like that? How in the world do we know whether or not we are ready for something unless we try? Who are we to decide that something is not worth the risk/effort/work it would take?

These things, the ones that I've been thinking about... I can't get them out of my mind, no matter how many times I tell myself those things above. It's like they are constantly in the back of my mind, trying to push their way to the forefront of my thoughts, but part of me is shoving them back, yelling at them to get out.
That, my friends, is why this quote hit me - because it's true. If you can't get something out of your mind, then go for it. What is the purpose of dreams if we don't chase them?

A Day in the Life. Public Service Announcements.

Hey guys!!

Hope you're all having an awesome week so far! Thank goodness it's almost Friday.

Some public service Announcements for you people:

1. I believe shorts are meant to cover more than your undergarments. If your boy short panties are hanging out of your shorts, you should probably invest in either some different underwear or different shorts. Preferably different shorts.

2. I've added some new prints & photographs to the shop over the past few weeks. Yay. Get 15% off through August 1st with code: BLOGGY15
3. Canned chicken is good for chicken salad, but not chicken enchiladas. I was desperate last week and didn't want to go to the store. Just doing my duty of warning you all so that you don't make the same mistake I did.

4. I am giving away a bracelet here. Entries are low, so you could win. Boom.
5. Thin is not always healthy, and not everyone can be thin. Please quit with this "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels." Yeah, and I'm sure you'll be saying that when you die of problems caused by anorexia. Pay attention to your body type. If you're naturally bigger, nothing you can do will make you a stick, so don't kill yourself trying.

Last but not least... The following conversation with one of my besties is pretty much a daily occurrence in our lives. Especially when my husband steals my phone.
Happy Thursday!!

WIWW. Packing. More Packing. Inappropriate Jokes. A Ridiculous Photo.

Linking up here.
Hi guys!! I'm currently running on zero hours of sleep, so sorry if this post is not the most exciting. :) We've been cleaning and packing constantly for the move back home, and it's a never-ending job.

If you do want a funny read, though, I highly suggest the guest post I did here

Anywho.... You should sign up for Christmas in July (a bloggy gift exchange) if you haven't already. It's going to be awesome - we've got bloggers from literally all over the world participating!!

I will be joining Gentri for her 7 Questions today. Here is my mandatory ridiculous photo:

1. If you were to start your own business, what would it be?
Oh, man. I guess Design. Since I sort of already have a business? Except I don't really call it that, because I haven't made thousands of dollars doing it.
I guess now would be the appropriate time to let you all know that I opened a Storenvy shop. I'll be selling prints, photos, and customizable blog design templates (I don't have any of those up yet, but they'll come eventually). We're in the process of trying to buy a house, and we're both in school, so every little bit helps!

2. You wake up on the wrong side of the bed, do you embrace your grumpiness or try to fight it?
I tend to embrace it, because fighting it just makes me even more grumpy.

3. What's the very first memory you have?
Spending time with my Grandpa when they came to visit us in Germany. I was probably 4 years old.

4. the world is ending, what do you do? Allow yourself to die? Fight? Hide? Etc.
This is kind of a difficult question. I would probably fight, but I wouldn't have a problem with dying.

5. What is your favorite meal of the day?
Lunch

6. How do you best learn? Visual? Listening? Hands on?
I think I'm better with hands on learning... but I like all three at the same time - I remember things better that way.

7. What is your favorite joke?
I'm pretty much an awful person, since my favorite joke has to do with the holocaust (I'm not even going to say it... it's that horrible).
I guess my next favorite joke is the Michael Scott classic:

So... What's your favorite joke? I'm in need of a laugh (or 500) today.
