Better late than never, right?

Happy Hump Day!!!

I am really bummed that it's already Wednesday, mostly because that means that spring break is more than halfway over, and we all know I'm not ready to go back to the huge ball of stress that is school.

Anyway. I turned 25 in November. Before I turned 25, I had this awesome list of all these things I wanted to do by the time I joined the quarter century club. I have decided to revise that list to be a list of 25 things I want to do before I am done being 25. That counts, right?!

So I figure I'll give you all a little update on the progress that I've made since that list was created.

#3. Run a 5k in less than 28:00. I actually did that this weekend! According to my RunKeeper app, my 5K time was 27:41. I'll take it! I'm really proud of myself, because when I was running, I was so flipping cold I had snot running down my face (and... not gonna lie, I definitely blew my nose into my sweatshirt sleeve because I got so fed up. Yeah, I know... I'm disgusting).

#24. Be debt free. I was not counting student or home loans in this equation. All consumer debt was paid off a few weeks ago when we FINALLY paid the last bill for Elsie's birth. I don't care what anyone says, hospital bills are friggin expensive!! The c-section probably multiplied the cost of Elsie's birth by 10. Actually... I know it did. Tens of thousands of dollars spent on a procedure that I never in a million years thought I would need. Thank goodness for insurance and payment plans.

So. There we go - a couple more things checked off the list. I'm hoping to be able to cross off some of the other 17 things soon! ;)

Also... I'm FINALLY getting to that post on how to take a better picture... so stay tuned for that.

I just went back and read the original list! You can make those things happen! I think you should definitely take Elsie to an amusement park, I'd love to see those insta's! Congrats on the debt free! I can't wait to pay off my car. I just paid off my credit card about 4 months ago and it felt SO good!

I have to pay my mom back a little bit for hospital bills that she covered when they started bugging us to pay, otherwise all our hospital bills are paid off too. I can't wait until we pay off our last student loan. Those are killing me.

Dude, I'm fairly certain I blow a giant snot rocket every time I run. You are not disgusting. Or maybe you are, but I am too! It's a necessary part of running!!!

Okay. First? HUGE congratulations! Those are monstrous and amazing. Rockstar!

Second? I can't. Tens of thousands of dollars. Ten (ish) months to pay off. BIRTH. Guys... You love your kids (in the USA) WAY more than we do (in Canada). Obviously. That's robbery and should not be allowed. At all. I'm so sorry that's a thing. Ugh.

Wow good for you lady!! I can barely bring my lazy butt to walk a 5k... haha. And yes, hospital debt is crazy! I bet yours was insane cause I didn't have a csection and ours was outrageous!

That is awesome about your run and being debt free! Congratulations on both fronts! I am totally guilty of blowing my nose into my shirt when running, so no judgment here:)

27:41 - heck yeah!!! That's like a 9-minute mile! Awesome! I have just started running again - it's been almost two years since I've done it consistently. I'm determined to keep up with it this time!

good job! i know being debt free is such a relief... and yes, hospital bills are crazy. i didn't have a csection or complicated stay in the hospital and still racked up quite the bill. i mean $175 per pill for the pain meds that i took every 4 hours?! ridiculous. thank goodness for insurance.
