Pinned it. Tried it. Totally didn't fail at life with it.

Happy Monday!!!

So... last week I may have promised you a post that never came. Oops. Well, it's coming now, anyway, so you aren't allowed to complain. Here are five things that I have pinned, tried, and totally didn't fail at life with.

1. Headboard for less than $40. I am so glad  that I pinned this eons and eons ago. I wasn't sure if I'd ever actually get around to doing it, but I did. and I did it all by myself. Note: I did a King size headboard, so that's why mine cost more than the OP's.
2. Crockpot chicken pot pie. Maybe not the most healthy thing ever, but who cares?! It's easy and it's delicious. Win/win. NOTE: You DO need your oven for this, so I guess it's not a completely crockpot meal, but it's easy enough that it doesn't really matter.

3. DIY baby leggings. Guys, I am no seamstress. These took me about a half hour per pair. BONUS: they did not fall apart once they were on Elsie's cute little tushy.

4. Using dry shampoo correctly. Okay, so this isn't really something that can really be messed up, but if you ever use dry shampoo, you should read up on this. It's great advice.

5. DIY baby tutus. Or adult tutus... you know, whatever you want. These are super easy and super cheap. I made Elsie's last summer. And please don't laugh at this horrible photo - let's just say that my photography has definitely improved over the last 6 months.
What are some things that you have pinned and had success with?

Favorite Things Friday

Yo homeskillet french fry faces.

It's been a while since I've done a favorite things post, and that is soooo not cool. Just sayin'.

1. Chicken Alfredo roll-ups. Another excellent recipe from my pinterest. Try it, love it. You're welcome.

2. Getting back in shape. I'm writing this on Thursday night... so I obviously haven't worked out for Fri yet, but the plan is to go tomorrow morning. If I do, I will have worked out four days this week. I missed Tues because I was sick on Monday night. It's a good feeling, though (working out, not being sick)!
I mean, look at these guns. I just almost wrote buns. That would have been awkward. No, I'm not modeling my butt for you. Sorry, sickos. Kidding. I love you. Unless you think that's weird. Now I'm just going to shut up.
3. My husband. Just because. He's a pretty cool dude.
4. Baby goats. Have you seen how cute they are?
5. Candles. I love candles. What else is there to say? They smell good, they make a room feel cozy... they're just awesome.
CAN I GET A FREAKIN, "YAAAYYYYYY FRIDAY!!!!"

Oh, How Pinteresting. Because I forgot to get dressed. That's a Lie.

Hiiiiiii frans!

So... I thought about writing some inappropriate thing about how I didn't get any pics for WIWW because I walked around naked all day, but that was a lie, and not blog appropriate, so I decided against it.

Instead, I wanted to share some of my favorite recipes from Pinterest with you guys. That place has become my cookbook - I turned to it when I made our monthly meal plan, and so far I've been happy with almost everything. Here are my top five choices from the past two weeks (except the sesame chicken - I already shared the link to that one here).

1. Crockpot Broccoli and Beef

2. Crockpot Chicken Taco Chili

3. Mexican Pizza

5. Crispy Southwest Chicken wraps

OH!  One last thing - I made a pact with Kristen to wake up ridiculously early every morning this week and work out. Yesterday I made it to cycling at 5:30 (and then almost fell asleep at work a grand total of one million times). And... the husband and I went on another short bike ride after dinner. I feel like posting photo evidence, just for my own sake - as sort of encouragement to myself.
Note: that's a "2" for "day 2," not a peace sign. sheesh. I may do duck lips, but come on - even I have limits.

WIWW, Something Pinteresting, & Total Excitement

Happy Almost-Turkey-Day, everyone!!

GUYS!!! I AM AT 100 followers! Thank you!

I'm a little disappointed because I have to work tomorrow. Mean Germans... thinking that I should be educating their children instead of taking the day off for a holiday that doesn't exist here. Psh.

Anywhooooo. Since it is Wednesday, here's a little WIWW action (even though I hated my outfit today - I broke out the UGGS, and I refuse to include those in the pictures because they make my toothpick legs look even more toothpicky).

And I can't resist Oh, How Pinteresting. So here's some of that, too.
All images come original sources can be found through my Pinterest.

And FINALLY, I got a package in the mail today!!! My momma is the best. Here's a little peeky-peeky at what was inside:

My excited face. I was jumping up and down!

A new comfy infinity scarf, handmade hat, coat, shoes, 5 pairs of tights, Economics book (nerd), and TONS of ranch and taco seasoning. Who has the best mom EVAR? Me.

Oh How Pinteresting Wednesday (BC I'm Not Fashionable Enough for WIW)

Guys, we all have those days. Those days where we wake up late with barely any time to get ready. Those days where we grab the first thing we see in our closet because we don't have enough time to pick out something cute. Those days where we don't put on any makeup because we are throwing our shoes on as we are running out the door to catch the train. You know, those days. And today, What I Wore Wednesday, just happened to be one of those days.

Needless to say, because I looked a little... homely... today, I'm linking up with The Vintage Apple for Oh, How Pinteresting Wednesday instead of the usual WIW. Enjoy!

So there you go! Those are some of my favorites from Pinterest today! Maybe next Wednesday I'll look decent enough to take my picture...

Pinterest in Real Life...

All right. Before you ask me what in the world I was thinking when I did my hair, let me explain a few things. 1. It is night-time where I am right now. 10:20 p.m. to be exact. Needless to say, I'm not leaving the house with this do. 2. There's this little thing called Pinterest, and I'm kinda, sorta, extremely addicted. If you aren't a member, go request an invite (unless you'd like to spend your life being productive).
That being said, I was wasting time  on Pinterest earlier this week, and saw a super cool tutorial on how to get curls without any heat. Awesome, right? I thought so. Anyway, I decided that I would give it a try, and that is why my hair looks slightly ridiculous. I'll post pictures tomorrow if it turns out looking half-way decent. Until then, you can go here to find the tutorial that I used. If you're too lazy to go there, here's a picture with the basics.

So. That's that. It worked on her, so why wouldn't it work on me?! I guess I'll find out tomorrow if my hair is too short for such loveliness. Hopefully it isn't!
Happy Monday!!
