Sunday Confessions Link Up

Happy Sunday!

You all know how this works, so get to it! :)

1. I'm in a funk. A blogging funk. Seriously - I mean, what in the world should I write about? How many times I get poop on my hands on any given day? Or maybe spit up is a more favorable topic? Or how about how I wandered around Sam's Club and Gordman's with a friend today, cherishing the hour without a baby in tow?

2. I still can't handle baby poop. Like, I'm way better than I was a month ago, but I am still NOT able to just brush it off and act like it wasn't a big deal that THERE WAS POOP ON ME!!

3. I am sick of the shred. I get bored doing the same workout day after day. Yes, I changed levels and progressed to level three, but I'm still missing variety.

4. Because of #3, once I'm done with the shred, I'm done with Jillian Michaels for a while. I've loved my results, but I'm gonna go back to good ole Shaun T and try HIS 25 minute a day workout (T25).

5. I obviously have a workout problem. I'm one of those people who will buy/try all the workouts out there. This is a very expensive problem to have.

When I was first doing the shred, I hated every level after day 6, it gets really boring.

I tried like every workout Jillian ever released and really, it's not only the shred, if you have to do any workout numerous times, it gets boring, so I've all of the workout videos (there might be about 40?) in a folder and always choose one, without any order or will to follow a schleduled programme.

PS: If you wanted recommendations or something for workouts, let me know, I'd love to help :)

LOL about all the poop! Not to make you hate me, but my girl poops only once a week. Apparently that is normal for some breastfed babies?!?! Anyway, glad you enjoyed your non-baby time at Sam's - you gotta get a break somewhere, mama! :D

Alyx,

Girl I get sick of the same routine over and over too, but be proud that you made it this far - with a 2 month old! I'm currently only allowed walking so that gets boring too.

I also want to suggest that if you get bored easily - you might try some crossfit. In person $$$$ but they have some videos and some online programs. It changes daily. It might be perfect for you!

I can think of worse problems to have. :)

I think having a puppy has REALLY helped me in the whole "getting over bodily fluids" thing. She had puked and pooped and peed in the house and I've had to clean it up and have definitely gotten it on me and it doesn't even phase me anymore. Hopefully this is preparing me for motherhood!

One of the reasons why I've never been able to do work out tapes (tapes? whoa.. did I have a timewarp there) is because of the boredom factor. I get bored way too fast!

I love doing the same thing over and over again :) But that never gets me the results I want. And about the poop thing, I am worried more about those who can just brush it off.

Ummm... blog about your trip to Utah and meeting ME!

Duh.

I totally need variety. I only do JM 1-3 times a week. Buy her No More Trouble Zones dvd. Do that one once a week, or every 2 weeks. I LOVE it!
Do you have a gym pass? Spin classes are my favorite!

Oh and just wait until your sweet babe starts eating fruits and veggies. She won't be so sweet once she poops... Mia is fatal these days! And I hear it gets even worse when they start eating meat!

I think I would not handle the poop thing very well either. :)
And I think that changing your workout routine is a great idea. Doing the same thing every day is really boring and just no fun at all. I want to do some different things also. Yoga one day, biking the next, running, etc.

I hear you about getting bored with workouts. Have you tried Blogilates on youtube? She comes out with Monthly Calendars with workouts for everyday and she also throws in some extra workouts or new videos during the week and it's all free!

I think it's good to change up workouts and keep variety, so yay to that!

P.S. I'm giving away a $100 gift card to Boxie this week and I would love for you to come and enter!

Ahh yes but you're in your last stretch of the 30 day shred! Just push through your last few days and it'll be totally worth it to say you did it :)
Also, I don't know if I'd ever get used to being pooped on...

All I can say is at least you're working out! I am not looking forward to my cleared to workout time... I'm too lazy, but have two weddings to be in within a months time... ugh!!!

I love Shaun T. I think the next one I'm going to buy is Asylum. I need a 30 day program in between these two and three month ones. The idea of only 25 minutes a day is also appealing though.

I have the same "problem" with wanting to try programs and getting bored doing the same thing over and over. Half of why I got into being a Beachbody coach was the fact I get a discount on the programs and a heads up when there's a sale.

Right now I'm doing Les Mills Combat and am still loving in six weeks in (although I don't like the Power and Plyo days as much, they're only 30 minutes so I can hang). I recommend it if you're at all into martial arts stuff. It reminds me of being in karate class without dealing with anyone else's stinky feet and was just what I needed to get back into a regular routine after several months of only dabbling in workouts intermittently.

and tell us what you think of the T25 videos... i am planning on doing JM's 30 day shread after baby comes- but i need some good at home work out options!

I get really bored with workouts too, which is why the program I've been doing really works for me, the workouts change every week, so I'm always doing something new.

Also, having poop on you is just gross. Even if it's baby poop. Uck.
