Taking it OFF!

Happy Tuesday!!

All right, folks. This is the part where it gets real. This is the part where I share the stuff that every woman hates sharing - measurements and weight. I can't fit into my normal clothes and money is super tight for us right now, so a new wardrobe is out of the question. Heck, even a few new staples are out of the question! I've been wandering around in too-tight t-shirts and Mike's gym shorts for a couple weeks, and that needs to end. I need to be held accountable for my weight loss/measurement goals, so this is it.

Pre-pregnancy Measurements (GOAL):
Waist: 28.5 inches
Hips: 39.5 inches
Weight: 148 lbs

Current Measurements (picture to come... I don't have one right now)

Waist: 31 inches
Hips: 42.5 inches
Weight: 168 lbs

To Lose:

Waist: 2.5 inches
Hips: 3 inches
Weight: 20 lbs

Note:
- I do not think I'm fat. I just know that I'm not at a level that is healthy for me and my body type (I am aware that I am 6'1" and you may think that my goal weight is too low - it's actually a very healthy weight for my small frame - please keep your judgmental thoughts to yourself).

The Plan:

Up until the 6-week postpartum point:
- Walk at least two miles every day
- Do at least 50 squats (30 normal, 20 wide leg - minimum) each day
- Do at least 40 leg lifts (2 sets of 10 each side) each day
- Do C25K running plan from start to finish (this is in addition to the two mile daily walk)
- Eat 3 servings of veggies and 3 servings of fruit each day
- One "treat" a day (chips, sweets, etc)
- Drink at least 80 oz of water each day

6-week postpartum point and after:
- Start Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred
- Continue all of the above

GOAL:
I hope to have the inches and weight off by September. That gives me three months to lose 20 lbs and about 3 inches. I figure that it's definitely doable!

Are you trying to lose weight or get in shape? Let's keep each other accountable!!

I too need to lose that 20 lbs of baby weight but don't have a plan just yet. I've never been one to work out much but I know I need to do that and eat better!! You have wonderful goals and I think you're doing a great job so far!!

Good on you for taking control! Whether anyone agrees you have to lose weight or not, what matters if you feel healthy and strong! I'm also trying to lose weight, to feel in control of my out of control infertility! I felt great until I got to America. I felt gross and fat after just 1 week, I'm sure eating gluten again after over a year didn't help!! Weighed myself after about 4 days at my sisters and I barely put on 1lb from the weight I was before I left Australia. Made me feel so much better knowing it was probably bloating from eating food that's bad for me and that I hadn't been doing my normal exercise routine! Got back into yesterday and felt all the better for it! Good luck chick, you can do it!

I have a post like this in the making haha but I've been too lazy/busy to get it up!

You are such a babe.

Also, it's so interesting how much individual body types affect your weight. My mom is in her forties and she looks pretty gaunt if she ever drops under 165. Obviously she's 25 years older than you, but I think she's always been that way. She's 6'0.

I'm the same height and my frame is similarly shaped. Even at my smallest, I have never and could never be below a 12/14 jean size.

Anyways, good luck with getting your bangin' body back! Also Elsie is the cutest baby in existence, so good job on making her. :) Ha!

Sorry to get all personal on here...but you might find while boobie feeding that the weight comes off too particularly when the gorgeous Elsie goes through a growth spirt. My friends have all ditched lots of weight although having to eat more to cover the extra milk. It takes a while though and I love that you have goals to feel better in yout own skin. Xx

Girl I'm in the same boat...I've been wearing swears and my bathrobe for the past few weeks...if I do make it out of the house, its maternity. Augh...I really don't want to buy bigger clothes. Maybe I'll use your workout routine too.

I love your plan, it's great - and fairly simple which I would imagine how busy you are with a new born is exactly what you need.

Totally do-able! Everything is much more achievable when you have a plan this awesome! You're going to rock it. And I fully support Jillian Michael's 30 day shred for when you're ready. It's such a great daily workout and takes NO TIME at all. :)

You have got this! I totally, absolutely, 100% believe in you and your ability to bounce right back. Get it, girl!

I'm going to be in the same boat as you after I have our baby- i'm just not going to have the dough to buy another whole new wardrobe! That is probably one of the roughest parts of pregnancy- ok, not really, but maybe one of the most inconvenient. You are super athletic and were fit before pregnancy, so I have no doubt it will come off in no time! Let us know how the 30 day shred goes, I may have to try it later!

Yeah! Good for you! I'm trying to get back in shape too--I'm sure you've seen me all over instagram sweaty and eating salads. haha We can motivate each other!

I think those are very realistic goals, especially once you're able to work out like normal again. For someone young and active, I can't imagine it being difficult to lose the weight. Just don't be disappointed if things don't look exactly like they used to when you reach your goal weight. I weigh less than I did pre-pregnancy, but I still look heavier. Fat is just dispersed differently now, I guess. More on my hips, less on my boobs. Figures, right?

I should join you in this! I'm going on vacation to the Dominican Republic in September for my boyfriend and I's birthday and I'd love to tone up before then. I'm going to either start 30 day shred or ripped in 30 today! Good luck to you! You can do it!!!!

You are crazy ambitious girl! But I like it... I have two weddings as a bridesmaid after I have our baby girl, so I'll be right there with you at some point.
