"What we seek determines what we think and do. What we think and do determines who we are — and who we will become."<--Dieter F. Uchtdorf
How true is that quote?! I love it. Anyway, if you don't already know, I'm Mormon. So is the guy who said that beautiful bit of inspiration up there. He's not just any Mormon, though. He's an Apostle. If you want to know more, just go here. I'll expand more on that in a minute.
First, I'm really excited. I got my new scarf in the mail yesterday, and I got to wear it! I love it!! And... I did my eyebrows today for the first time in like.... a month. Tweezed, clipped, everything. I was pretty proud of myself, because they were becoming furry little monsters.
Anyway. Since I'm in the "homeland" of Uchtdorf, I got the chance to listen to him and his beautiful wife speak tonight. In German (makes sense, considering that's his first language). Cool, right? I thought so. Anyway, he talked about a bunch of random stuff. Seriously. I even just asked Hubby (who had translator earphones in) what the theme was, and he goes, "I don't know. I think he just talked about a bunch of random stuff." Way to go, Hubby. You took the words right out of my mouth. All that random stuff was awesome, though.
Basically, listening to him speak made me want to come home and look for more cool stuff that he's said, and that's how I came across the quote at the top of this page - the quote that makes me ask myself, "What do I love? What am I seeking? What am I thinking and doing? Who am I, and who am I becoming?" Those questions make me think of where my priorities are. Am I loving the things that are going to help me become the person I want to be, or am I putting silly things before the more important ones? If we love good, then we will seek good, which will, in turn, prompt us to think and do good. Think though, if we love that which isn't good. What will we become then?
Keep that in mind.
Happy Saturday, everyone!
